Toosh
This was a fabulous adoption day! Toosh (on the left) came to visit with her Big Brother Baron. They are getting along fabulously. Baron loves Toosh and doesn't let anyone pick on her at the dog park. Toosh has gotten so big....we didn't even recognize her! And then Carla (now known as Pansy) stopped by with her family. She is SO big and beautiful. Look at the smiles on everyone's faces. This is what makes this "job" so much fun! |

Jake
Mario and Yoshi (the little guys) were rescued from a terrible backyard situation along with 3 of their siblings. Dawg Squad's very special supporter Dawn said that she would foster the little guys. Well, it seems that Jake, who was adopted by Dawn and her family from the Squad about a year ago, has adopted them as his puppies and well....another happy ending. Mario and Yoshi will be living happily ever after with Jake and his wonderful family.

Claire
When this pup showed up at our adoption everyone burst into laughter! THOSE EARS! In a high wind everyone was sure she would take off and never be seen again. But Claire, now known as Hiwahiwa ("beloved and adored" in Hawaiian) found two people who thought she had the most beautiful ears in the world. Could any family look any happier? |

Fanny
Fanny, now known as Hannah, interviewed several families before she decided that Victoria and Marty were the right people for her. Marty’s one rule was that no dogs would be allowed on the furniture and they had a dog bed in every room for Fanny when she arrived at her new home. Well, according to Victoria, that rule lasted about two days and Marty invited Hannah to join him up on the bed and now well….the rest is history. Fanny has the run of the house, a huge yard and a big desert tortoise as a “playmate”. And since Victoria works from home, she is never alone.. |

Rufus
Here is an e-mail from Rufus' proud new owner: "Just thought you'd like to see a pic of one of your many success stories. Rufus was found at 4 weeks, mal-nourished with mange (and missing his tail!) I adopted him at 9 weeks/15 lbs. He's now Roscoe, 9 months, and 65 lbs! (and growing). He's the most loving, loyal, friendly dog you'd ever meet! Confirmed Shepard/Sharpei mix. Thank you so much for giving me my best friend!" |

Violet
You all might remember me as Violet, the very shy little Rottie puppy that was up for adoption this past summer. Well my name is now Emma and I am a whopping 87 pounds! The Dawg Squad came to visit me the day before Thanksgiving. You see, it turned out that I had some very bad elbows and a very bad hip and I needed 3 surgeries. My Mom got me all the surgeries and Squad came to give me some kisses and hugs. As you can see, I do like to dress up. This is my housecoat….I wear it when I am just lounging in my crate taking it easy from the last operation (I’m still on very limited exercise). I also have a stunning evening coat, a very beautiful sweater and a rain slicker. My grandma loves to make me clothes! (I don’t understand why they are now calling me Princess Emma, do you?) I just want everyone to know that I am very thankful to the Squad for finding me my Mom and Grandma. They are very, very special people. |

Bitsy
I’m Bitsy…the blind American Bulldog. This is me with one of my people…Lara. Lara is very handy around the house and she builds lots of things. I’m always there to lend her a paw with one of her projects. You can see that we are both very careful around machinery….I always wear my Doggles when I help Lara build something. I also live with another human and a dog named Boomer (he’s a big baby…he’s afraid of thunderstorms) and a cat named BooKitty. I still get to see my sister Rachel every week…we have play dates and I get to go to the dog park. I have a special collar that says “BLIND DOG” so people won’t think I’m rude if I bump into them. And I wanna say Hi to all my friends at Dawg Squad….thanks for giving me this great home! |

Petey
Yey ya’ll remember me? Petey? My name is Indie now because I am very independent. I got adopted by these cool people named Shannon and Tucker. Now, they don’t spoil me….oh no….I have to work! Here I am testing out the grass....gotta make sure it’s soft enough for my people when they are barefoot. Don’t want them to get an owie. And here I am digging a hole for our beach umbrella…don’t want to get sunburned do we? I miss everyone at Dawg Squad, especially my buddy Trucker, but I’m having a great life now with my people. Oh, gotta go now….Shannon needs me to go to work with her. I tell ya…a dog’s work is never done. Busy, busy, busy!

Vanna
It’s me Vanna, except now my name is Callie. Boy did I get lucky. This family came to see me and we hit it off right away. I’m trying to train the little guy, Davis, to play leap frog with me. I think he’ll get the idea soon. And my girl Gabby is a great dog guardian. She helps clean up the messes I make and gets me treats and plays games with me and is just a really nice girl. I’m really happy in my new home and hope everyone in the Squad gets as lucky as me! |
