Although all of the dogs we rescue are special, some have special needs that require an little extra TLC and expense.
While some of the special needs dogs require additional medical care or rehabilitation, most special needs animals that come to the Dawg Squad will remain in our care for the remainder of their lives. We provide loving homes and special love for these animals as most people would consider them unadoptable.

Special Needs Dog of the Month
Hi, my name is Bernie! I am a 7 year old Rottie. I've lived with The Dawg Squad since I was 5 weeks old.
I had to have my left back leg amputated due to a bone disease and they have been taking care of me ever since. My right back leg is very weak and twisted and I have lots of trouble walking. I needed a wheelchair to help me learn to walk better so the Paw'd Squad got me one and now I get to live with them ALL MY LIFE!
Due to my bone disease I will have ongoing medical needs for the rest of my life. Thankfully, the Dawg Squad is committed to taking care of me. They not only make us special needs dogs feel loved, they give us a safe, permanent home.
